Antica is the most contemplative and philosophical line of Atelier Nativitas. It presents the mystery of Christmas within the quiet dignity of ancient ruins, a world shaped by harmony, proportion, beauty, and the human longing for truth.
In ancient architecture, beauty was not accidental. It was rooted in harmony, in carefully ordered proportions, dimensions, and distances. In the great temples of antiquity, the visual proportions were not merely pleasing to the eye; they corresponded to the same harmonic laws that govern musical intervals. In this sense, the architecture itself formed a silent chord.
Depending on the character and purpose of a building, this harmony could awaken different emotions in the viewer: majesty, clarity, restraint, romance, serenity, or awe. Antica draws from this idea and transforms it into a sacred Christmas scene.
